XRP Holders Have Now Parked 90 Million Coins in a Single Yield Vault

Key Takeaways

The Number Ladder

The milestone saw Doppler’s vault cross 90 million XRP in total value locked. At XRP’s current price of about $1.42, that is roughly $128 million. The firm’s transparency reports show the climb as follows:

Feb. 27, 2026: 51,090,769 XRP in user balances, worth about $69.3 million, per the Q1 2026 report. June 19, 2026: 83,344,138 XRP, worth about $94.7 million, per the Q2 2026 report. Oct. 12, 2026: More than 90 million XRP.

That is a gain of roughly 76% in XRP terms since late February. Most of it came in the spring, when the vault added more than 32 million XRP in under four months. Growth since June has been slower, at about 6.7 million XRP, but it has continued even as XRP’s price swung between roughly $0.99 and $1.57 over that stretch.

What the Vault Actually Does

Doppler pitches itself as yield infrastructure for a coin that has historically offered few onchain income options. The platform describes secure yield vaults where users deposit XRP and other XRP Ledger (XRPL) assets to earn returns, alongside lending and liquid staking products in the decentralized finance (DeFi) mold.

The target audience is XRP sitting idle on centralized exchanges. Unlike ether or solana, XRP has no native staking reward, so any yield has to come from lending or other strategies layered on top of the asset.

Does the Backing Check out?

That is the question every yield product invites, and Doppler answers it with snapshots. In its June 19 report, Doppler said backing assets totaled $109,438,283 across its custody and risk-management setups, against $105,481,105 in total user assets. That works out to a ratio of 103.75%. The Q1 report showed a similar 103.82%.

Those are point-in-time numbers, not live proof of reserves, and they predate the latest 90 million XRP milestone. Security on the underlying ledger has also been in the spotlight as Bitcoin.com News recently reported on a decade-old XRP Ledger bug that could have minted XRP out of thin air before it was patched. Ripple has since responded to the concerns, and the XRP Ledger Foundation said no XRP was created by the flaw.

The Timing

Monday is a big day for the XRP yield trade. Evernorth, the XRP treasury company backed by Ripple, is set to begin trading on Nasdaq under the ticker XRPN with about 473 million XRP on its balance sheet. Bitcoin.com News reported that Evernorth plans to pursue returns through institutional and decentralized finance strategies rather than simply holding the tokens.

Put side by side, Doppler’s vault now holds roughly a fifth as much XRP as Evernorth’s entire treasury. One is a public company, the other a pooled product for individual holders, but both are betting that XRP can earn income instead of sitting still.

Lastly, U.S. spot XRP ETFs took in $11.31 million last week as bitcoin funds lost $681 million and ether funds shed $542 million. That stretched XRP’s run of weekly inflows to 13 straight weeks.

Doppler’s next transparency report will show whether the 90 million XRP is backed with the same cushion as the June snapshot. Until then, the vault’s growth is one of the clearest onchain signs that XRP holders want yield, not just price exposure.
